Driven by Curiosity
Since 2002
Teaching How to Think, Not What to Think
We create a space for exercise professionals to question and explore.
- Solve problems, don't just collect techniques
- Think through problems rather than follow protocols
- Ask better questions, not memorise rules
- Build capability, not chase certificates
This changes everything about how you see exercise, assessment, and professional growth.
Building a
Learning Community
Since 2002, we've refined a teaching method that develops thinking rather than dictates rules.
We understand how people actually learn complex information. Instead of lectures and memorisation, we create experiences that build understanding. You develop principles that work for any client situation, not just follow predetermined protocols.
How We Teach
- Lead with Questions: Explore, don't memorise.
- Every Rep Is an Experiment: Test, don't assume.
- Fail Fast: Safe space to get things wrong.
- Think Differently: Principles, not protocols.
- Learn Together: Everyone contributes insights.
We still train clients daily, testing these principles with our own clients.
Founded by
Michael Goulden
Thirty years in, Michael approaches every challenge like a fresh puzzle. He founded Integra in 1997 asking why some people progress while others don't. That investigation became our educational method - teaching professionals to think systematically about exercise design and client response.
